Meet Shifa Saltagi Safadi
Award-winning author of Kareem Between and Sisters Alone, Shifa creates stories that celebrate identity, belonging, family, and the power of finding your voice.
Shifa was born in Syria and immigrated to the US with her parents when she was a young girl. She is a bilingual Arabic/English speaker, and is very familiar with the challenges of learning English and navigating two languages. Shifa has a bachelor's degree in English Literature, is a former English teacher, and is a former reviewer of Muslim books on her blog, Muslim Mommy Blog.

Every registration package includes acccess to the live event, a copy of the featured book, downloadable curriculum materials and activites, and 30-day recording access so participants can revisit the experience anytime.

3. How long is the event?
The event will last 50 minutes.
4. Is the event interactive?
Yes, this is a highly interactive workshop designed to actively engage young writers. The author will guide students through creative writing exercises, share storytelling tips, and encourage students to develop their own ideas. The workshop concludes with a live Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from the author.
