M. Eugenia L. Gold was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and grew up in Maryland, USA. She has been interested in dinosaurs since her earliest memories and began pursuing a career in paleontology as soon as she was able. She earned a Ph.D. in Comparative Biology from the American Museum of Natural History in 2015 and started a bilingual blog for kids about paleontology news in 2016. Her research focuses on how dinosaur brains changed as they started to fly. She is passionate about science education and outreach, especially to underrepresented groups. Abagael R. West is from Durham, North Carolina. She has a BA in zoology from the University of Cambridge, and finished her Ph.D. at Columbia University in 2016. She is now a postdoctoral researcher at Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Abagael studies the evolution of mammals at the end of the age of dinosaurs, an interest that has taken her from Scotland to Wyoming, Manhattan to Antarctica. Amy J. Gardiner currently lives in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She has a BFA in time based digital art from the Cleveland Institute of Art. She specializes in cartoon portraiture and graphic narratives. One thing she really loves is helping others bring their creative visions to life. This passion has led Amy to become a freelance creative professional for the past ten years, collaborating with others on a range of interesting projects such as this book!
