Adair f. White-johnson received her Ph.D. in Social Foundations of Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She also earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies and a Masters in School Counseling from the University at Buffalo. Dr. White-johnson received a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Education from Daemen College in Amherst, New York. Dr. Adair White-johnson is currently an Associate Professor at Argosy University and a retired Professional School Counselor who has lived in the metro Atlanta area for two decades and is the author of "Go Hard and Stumble Softly" published in July, 2012 and has authored articles in scholarly journals. She is also the author of "Get Over it! How to Bounce Back after Hitting Rock Bottom" and "How to Get Over It in 30 days!" Dr. White-johnson has also created a lesson guide for educators/counselors that focuses on improving the academic achievement of teens. It is aligned with the Common Core Standards and American School Counselor National Model. She also has conducted workshops and presentations at professional conferences such as the annual National Youth at Risk Conference, American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting and American School Counselors Association Annual Conference. Dr. White-johnson has been married for twenty-three years and is the proud mother of five children. She spends her "stolen moments" of free time watching soap operas, "mall walking" and writing creatively.
