Katy Beebe

Katy Beebe teaches history at the University of Texas at Arlington and has a doctorate in medieval history from the University of Oxford. Her previous books for children include Nile Crossing and Brother Hugo and the Bear (both Eerdmans). Visit her website at www.katybeebe.com.

Valeri Gorbachev has illustrated more than fifty children's books, including The Missing Chick (Candlewick), That's What Friends Are For (Philomel), and most recently Big Little Hippo (Sterling). He immigrated to the United States from the Ukraine in 1991 and now lives with his family in Brooklyn.
