Roger Langridge

Roger Langridge is best known as the creator of the Eisner, Harvey, Ignatz and Reuben Award-nominated series Fred the Clown, available as a collection from Fantagraphics (and on the web at ModernTales.com). His other work includes Knuckles the Malevolent Nun, Zoot Suite and the web strip Hotel Fred, as well as Art d'Ecco in collaboration with his brother Andrew. Marvel's Fin Fang Four represented his first stab at the venerable Giant 6,000-Year-Old Lizard genre. Langridge breathed new life into the God of Thunder in the critically lauded all-ages title Thor: The Mighty Avenger with artist Chris Samnee. He lives in London with his wife Sylvie, their two children and a box of his own hair.

Chris Samnee has drawn comics for major and indie publishers including Marvel, DC/Vertigo and Oni Press. His credits include the Vertigo graphic novel Area 10 with writer Christos Gage and the Marvel series Thor: The Mighty Avenger with writer Roger Langridge. He subsequently joined a team of artists including Mike Deodato Jr. and Butch Guice on Ed Brubaker's Captain America, and helped launch Captain America and Bucky. His two collaborations with writer Mark Waid, on Rocketeer: Cargo of Doom and Daredevil, won him the 2013 Eisner Award for Best Penciler/Inker, shared with Hawkeye's David Aja. Waid and Samnee continued their professional relationship on Black Widow.
