LAURA STEVEN is an award-winning author and shameless coffee addict from the northernmost town in England. She has published several books for young adults, including sapphic horror The Society For Soulless Girls, which was shortlisted for the YA Book Prize. The Silvercloak trilogy marks her adult fantasy debut, set in a world where magic is fueled by pleasure and pain. Her books have been widely translated and optioned for TV, and her work has appeared in The i Paper, The Guardian and Buzzfeed. When she's not writing, you can probably find her trail running, reading chunky fantasy novels, baking cookies, playing old men at chess, or ignoring her husband and son to perfect her Stardew Valley farm
