Marie Hoy-Kenny

Marie Hoy-Kenny is a writer, teacher and mother. Marie has written a young adult novel, The Girls from Hush Cabin, and her short stories and poetry have appeared in several literary magazines. This Plant Is NOT Boring is her debut picture book. Marie lives in Ontario with her husband, kids and their mischievous poodle.

Mike Deas's passion for illustrative storytelling comes from an early love of reading and drawing while growing up on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. Capilano College's Commercial Animation Program in Vancouver helped Mike fine-tune his drawing skills and imagination. Work as a concept artist, texture artist and art lead in the video-game industry has taken Mike to England and California. Mike lives with his family on sunny Salt Spring Island.
