Meg Walters loved playing soccer when she was younger and dreamed of playing professionally but then decided on a career as an illustrator . . . and now author! She was inspired to tell the story of the US Women's Soccer Team's victory and strength. Meg has illustrated the books Lucy Loves Sherman and Lucy Loves Sherman's Beach written by Catherine Bailey. Nikkolas Smith, a native of Houston, Texas, is a concept artist, children's book author, and Hollywood film illustrator. He is the author/illustrator of The Golden Girls of Rio, which was nominated for an NAACP Image Award, and My Hair Is Poofy and That's Okay. As an illustrator of color, Nikkolas is focused on creating captivating art that can spark important conversations in today's world and inspire meaningful change.
