Book by Book: Help Rebuild Classroom Libraries Destroyed by Hurricane Helene With Lester Laminack and Kylene Beers!
In September, Yancey County Schools, in rural North Carolina, were hard hit by Hurricane Helene. One small elementary school with two classes per grade was destroyed. After seven long weeks, students and teachers recently returned to another building while their school is being rebuilt.
Now you can help rebuild their classroom libraries! Literacy experts Kylene Beers and Lester Laminack have personally curated collections of books for this elementary school. Books are organized by classroom and by grade. Please click on the links below to view and select any titles you might like to gift to this school. Lester and Kylene’s goal is to provide 100 new books to each classroom.
In addition to the books gifted through your generosity, Bookelicious will provide Yancey County Schools with a credit equal to 20% of the retail value of every book received through this Book by Book campaign, to help the school rebuild its libraries.
