With Masters degrees in both Literacy Education and Social Work, Joanna has a special interest in how reading can promote children and young people’s social and emotional development. She worked as an elementary school teacher for ten years, and now, in addition to curating books for Bookelicious readers, coordinates phonics content and facilitates workshops in schools throughout London, UK. Joanna loves reading all genres, particularly books that help her to understand more about how different people live around the world. She particularly enjoys reading with her three elementary school age children, who themselves use Bookelicious to select books.
