PreS--In Always, a baby elephant explores opposites, from happy and sad to dirty and clean, ending with the reassuring message that no matter what, he will always be loved. Some pages have silver-foil accents; on one spread, both elephants are swimming in a silvery lake. In More and More, an expressive monkey's parent reassures him every little bit of him is loved, from "his nose to his toes" and his "wiggles to his giggles" and even his "messes and muddles." The illustrations are bright and bold and include well-placed gold-foil accents. Both of these sweet picture books feature minimal text and playful tones.
