Tullet continues his series of interactive, gamelike board books with an exploration of primary and secondary colors, which also gives a nod to simple shapes. "Blue, Red, Yellow?" asks a Purple Square on the first spread. "Who are my parents?" The answer appears in rhyme on the next page, as the red and blue squares stretch into blobby shapes, overlapping in an embrace of sorts and forming purple where they meet ("Red and blue are the only parents for you!"). The conceit repeats for a green circle and orange triangle. The book's family angle is an adept way to model and explain color relationships. Simultaneously available: The Game in the Dark and The Game of Sculpture. Ages 1-6. (Oct.)
