Launching a board book series about influential women, Oliver (the BabyLit series) introduces readers to Oprah Winfrey. Two-word statements allude to Winfrey's personal and professional attributes alongside illustrations of her delivering a newscast ("Be Confident"), speaking to a tearful child on stage ("Be Empathetic"), and receiving the Medal of Freedom from President Obama ("Be Honorable"). Following each phrase is a quote from the subject: "Use your life to serve the world, and you will find that it also serves you" attends an illustration of Winfrey opening an academy for girls. Oliver concludes with a reflective mirror in which readers can see themselves: "Be you!" An end note supplies biographical information about Winfrey. Michelle Obama is available simultaneously. Ages up to 3. (Oct.)
