They eat from pouches and sleep in sleeping bags. When the big day of the moon landing arrives, there is excitement and inspiration. After some tension, the trio makes it safely back to Earth, marveling at its beauty. The images are colorful and charming, with many details to discover for curious readers. This text would pair well with many different STEAM activities or as a kickoff to research. This work's greatest strength is in the exciting storytelling, tension, and thrills drive the narrative. Back matter includes more details about the space race and the Apollo 11 mission. Young students who are interested in space or astronauts will appreciate this informative and fun book. Zoë Tucker is passionate about picture books. In her day job as a picture-book art director and designer, she has worked with bestselling artists including Waterstones-prize winner Lizzy Stewart, Axel Scheffler, Nick Sharratt, and Helen Stephens. She is the author of Greta and the Giants, and books in the Friends Change the World series.
Amanda Quartey is an illustrator based in the UK. At the age of 14 she moved to Ghana and studied art, and later returned to the UK to study Graphic Design. She has worked on a variety of published projects.
