PreS-Gr 1--Blippo and Beep are back in the second book of an easy reader series. This time Blippo is feeling sick, so Beep helps by bringing him everything he needs in bed. Beep does a great job, but just when Blippo is feeling better, Beep gets sick! Blippo wants to care for Beep the way Beep did for him, but Beep just wants to sleep. Beep asks Blippo to stay until he falls asleep, which is hard to do when Blippo keeps asking, "Are you asleep yet?" In the end, the two robots announce how much they like each other. As in the first book, text is presented through short dialogue bubbles in a similar style to Mo Willems's "Elephant & Piggie" series. Ellis's bright robot drawings stand out in a well-curated palette. Blippo's emotions are displayed on his stomach through different faces and punctuation marks. While the story line is not a new one, fans of the first book will enjoy this latest installment. VERDICT Purchase where the first book has circulated well.--Heidi Dechief
