Barbara Taylor studied environmental sciences at the University of Southampton before becoming a science editor and writer at London's Natural History Museum. She is a multi-award-winning author of more than 120 children's inLayoution books and encyclopedias on natural history, science, and geography.

Simon Treadwell attended the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and later worked as an Art Director in the advertising industry. As an illustrator, he became a specialist in hyperrealism, using mixed techniques, airbrush, oil, acrylic and watercolors, before deciding to start producing digital artworks.
