Toddler-PreS--It's Christmas time, and the tow truck, or "Wrecker" is "really great at decking the halls." The Wrecker helps to load the trees with bulbs and hanging lights, pull carts of gifts, and wrap presents. Singing carols and towing cookies for Santa are also on the agenda. "But after all that, when push comes to pull, Wreckers remember what makes Christmas full." This board book will be a big hit with young fans of vehicles. Colorful and fun illustrations highlight the message of helping friends and the Christmas spirit that comes from doing rather than getting. VERDICT An adorable addition to most board book collections, especially those in need of uplifting holiday stories.--Shana Shea

Melinda Lee Rathjen
Melinda Lee Rathjen grew up in southern Illinois, reading past her bedtime whenever she could get away with it. As an editor at WorthyKids, she still spends a lot of time reading, though stealth and flashlights are rarely necessary. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with two very opinionated cats.

Gareth Williams was born in Hillingdon, West London, but ventured (when he was two) to the green valleys of South Wales. At an early age he loved to draw, and he quickly realized that his dream of becoming the first Welsh astronaut would be sidelined by his creative abilities and talents (but he still secretly wishes he could have rocketed into space). Gareth studied Illustration at Swansea Metropolitan and went on to work with leading stationery and greeting card companies. His work has a strong illustrative influence, with lots of textures and layers to create a hand-drawn style. Gareth lives in Romford, Essex, United Kingdom.
