Pavla Hanackova (1990-2021) was a Czech author who studied English and Chinese at Palacký University, Olomouc, and later worked as a children's book editor for Albatros. In addition to her love of travel, she had a deep passion for food - and all things food-related. She hailed from a picturesque Moravian village surrounded by vineyards.
Diarmuid O Cathain is an Irish illustrator and picture book maker. After obtaining a degree in Visual Communications, he worked in the Graphic Design field, before pursuing a career in Illustration. With over 10 years of freelance illustration experience, Diarmuid has worked with a wide range of clients, both Irish and international, on a variety of projects from editorial and advertising to packaging and animation. He is always looking for new opportunities to collaborate and new visual challenges to sink his teeth into.
