Estoy tan triste que voy a hacer un dibujo de mi gran tristeza, pero no sé por qué termino dibujando un enorme gigante riéndose a carcajada limpia. Estoy tan triste que podría formar un nuevo océano con mis lágrimas, crearía un vasto mar por el que navegaría con un barco. Incluso podría ser la mejor pirata en mi mar de lágrimas. ¡Sería muy divertido! Sin embargo, esto no es suficiente. Estoy mucho más triste que eso, y así no se ve. Tengo que encontrarme con algo que demuestre que estoy muy triste, extremadamente, profundamente triste. ¡Que comience la aventura!

Elisa Yagüe is a Spanish author. She graduated in Hispanic Studies and Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the Complutense University of Madrid. After working in translation, adult literacy, and cultural management, she has found her perfect formula for working with words and stories: she's a high school teacher, an oral narration critic, and from time to time, a book author. I'm Sad Today (Cuento de Luz, 2022) is her first children's book.
Celia Sacido (Madrid, 1984) is a Spanish illustrator and bookbinder. She studied Film & Animation at different schools in Valence (France) and in Madrid. Back in Madrid, she is trained as a bookbinder and carried out different studies and a master's in Literature for children and Publishing. She currently focuses her work on children's illustrations and the binding of book objects and small artist editions.
