PreS-K--This book provides a different act of kindness for each letter of the alphabet. The text is presented in a logical sequence that will be easy for readers to follow. Throughout the book, children can be seen engaged in acts of play, friendship, and unity. Facial expressions are relatively uniform, adding a feeling of unity among a diverse array of characters. Geometric shapes create playful images and are paired with vivid primary and pastel colors. Curvy lines and figures are dominant, with illustrations often popping against plain white backgrounds. The lack of texture in imagery creates a cheerful, smooth look and feel. Each word that corresponds with the respective letter of the alphabet is bolded for added emphasis. Alphabet letters are also enlarged and presented in bold and vibrant colors. The illustrations add to the text by providing delightful examples of each narrated act of kindness. The size of the book and easy-to-turn pages make it perfect for younger audiences. VERDICT A great option for encouraging children to treat others with consideration and respect.--Deanna Smith, Pender County Public Library, NC
