Juan Moreno is a Mexican American, born and raised in Compton, California. Growing up he played soccer with his friends, read books, and wrote poetry during his free time. As he got older, he found a passion for mentoring student athletes in his community through his coaching career, which led him to graduate school, where he earned a master's degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology. He now uses his experience and education to guide him in his current role as a university advisor. He is a husband and father who wishes to inspire by creating stories that will capture bonding moments between parents and children.
Hazel Quintanilla has been drawing since she was little and used to carry a pencil and a small notebook in a cute furry bear face purse that her mom bought for her. She also carried cheese cubes in it (ewww!). When she grew up, she decided to follow her passion and studied graphic design, followed by an MA which she used to specialize in illustration. She has produced work for numerous brands, magazines, and books, illustrating over a hundred children's books published in the United States and worldwide. Hazel loves animals, pj's, and her iPad, in which she produces most of her art. She's the proud mom of nine dogs who really loves her job and enjoys putting onto paper the bold colors and cute shapes living in her mind.
